Lord of the Sabbath (Luke 6:1-11)
After a busy week at VBS, this sermon will be a good time to talk about rest from Luke 6:1-11.
This passage will tell us that the Lord has given us a Sabbath rest for our good and so that we may do good for others. We can enjoy this rest because of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Something New (Luke 5:27-39)
In this sermon we'll look at the new life Jesus offers sick sinners through trust in Him. He provides the cure for those who know that they fall short of God's glory. The cure is found through trusting in Him.
Oh No! There's a Hole in the Roof! (Luke 5:17-26)
Elder Tom Toone preaches from Luke 5:17-26 on the account of Jesus healing a paralytic. This passage will teach us about friendship, faith, forgiveness, and fortitude.
Who Is Jesus? | Do You See? (Mark 10:46-52)
In this sermon we look at the last healing miracle in the Gospel of Mark in Mark 10:46-52. Jesus restoring the sight of a blind man named Bartimaeus gives us a chance to reflect on how we view Jesus. Do we see Jesus for who He really is? Do we understand what He came to do? Do we cry out to Him for mercy? Do we follow Him? Do we truly see?
Who do I think that Jesus is?
Do I follow Him?
What does that look like?
