EVANGELISM Update
Here are just a few examples of how members of ESBC prayed for opportunities to share the Gospel last week, had the wisdom to see those opportunities, and then had the courage to take advantage of those opportunities to share the Gospel and/or have God-conversations:
·One member had an opportunity to talk to their 8-year-old grandchild about what sin is and how it separates us from Jesus.
·Another member was approached by a coworker this past week who asked what the Bible says about “forgiveness.” This opened up a wonderful time of conversation and prayer.
·One member spoke with a loved one whose friend suddenly died. Our member talked about how we are not guaranteed tomorrow and how it is important to know and serve Jesus today.
·Another member spoke with their coworkers about the perspective of “to whom much is given, much is required.” (Luke 12:48).
·One member had discussions with an acquaintance about the difference between Christian music and secular music.
·Another member shared about their “friends” from church who are helping with a community project at our member’s place of work. The coworkers were amazed at how Christians love and support each other.
·One member invited the mail-carrier who delivers to their place of work to come to our church and gave them a church information card. This invitation came to fruition after weeks of building a genuine friendship.
·Finally, one member performed well during some recent hospital tests and scans and was given a compliment by the attending nurse. Our member quickly gave the credit back to God for helping our member to focus on prayer throughout the procedures. Our member then immediately asked the nurse if they had any prayer requests. The nurse responded that their mother had died just 6 days ago…and then began to cry at the Christ-like kindness being demonstrated by our member.
Remember: Jesus is the Fix, in 2026! Pray for opportunities and be ready when the Lord gives them to you!!
